Finally, the iris have begun to bloom in NW Iowa. First SDB to appear came
last Thursday, SPLASH OF RED, and next day it was joined by one of my
favorites, RUBY WINGS. Since then they've been joined by FIRE ONE,
JAZZAMATAZZ, NOVELETTE, BALMY BREEZE, and CHERRY GARDEN. The latter has
such a large blossom that it looks like at least an IB if not BB on an SDB
stalk. All kinds of IBs are full of stalks and showing color, and lots of
the TBs are doing the same. We're on the way !!!!
