Apparently, through the years some names have been duplicated, some have been 
discontinued and some have been withdrawn.  The way I understand it is that 
Howard skipped those names, but now realizes the need for the 'trail'.

So the duplications are playing havoc with the database and it needs to be 
resolved.

BUT, as far as a functioning, searchable program.... he's THERE!  And I must 
stress again, boyz and girlz, that Howard Hughes did this under his own 
steam, on his own initiative and on his own time.  He personally and without 
assistance of any kind entered 47,000 iris names into a database, with 
hybridizer, type and registration year.  Every time I think about it, I go 
numb.

Kathyguest in East Aurora, NY - who says that the wonderful thing about the 
people we have in AIS now is the 'can do' attitude and the willingness to 
explore new territory.  Very energizing!
