OKC Convention

From: Judyhunt1@aol.com

Hello, iris talkers!

We arrived home from OKC last Monday evening (we drove), and I am just now
beginning to get back into real life. This was my second AIS convention --
we were in Dearborn year before last. In spite of being so sad for all the
folks who were suffering loss from the storms, I did enjoy all the convention
activities and really appreciate the many months of planning and hard labor
that so many people put into making such a wonderful gathering for us iris
addicts. Congratulations to all of you Okies and Arkansans for pulling off a
very successful function despite the tremendous loss of Ruth Simmons days
before and the terrible storms. Your courage and determination are laudatory.

I enjoyed reading your observations and comments, Bill Shear. It was a
pleasure to meet you and I do so appreciate your signing those 35 books we
hauled down for our club members in Louisville. Has your writers' cramp left
yet?

For those of you who have yet to attend a convention, I encourage you to plan
to go as soon as you can. You will make wonderful memories and will meet
irisarians from all over the US and from other countries as well.

Judy Hunt in Louisville, KY, where our iris show is tomorrow and most irises
in our garden are way past "showable"; we might have two or three Siberians.
