It's about Festive Mood (Schreiner bonus, 1993). I planted it in Sep '93;
no bloom in '94. Then 1 stalk in '95, 1 in '96, and 1 in '97. Nothing in
'98. This year it put up a stunted stalk, possibly because of late freeze.
The first (and maybe only) flower on it bloomed today about 4" off the
ground. One of the standards has a streak of purple in it from top to
bottom, varying from 1/8" to 1/4" wide. Why is that, do you suppose?
