I think Kodak film is 'warmer'. Good for flesh tones. Be sure your film is
up-to-date and has been kept in optimum conditions.
Since print film is a little more forgiving, you might shoot in print film
and then have slides made.
When I do underwater photographs (where the reds are filtered out by the
water), I ask the lab to push the red and (IIRC) the cyan one stop. But the
best suggestion is one someone else made - take a color card photo as the
first one, and then take the film to a custom lab that will take the time
with it.
