CULT: Zebra Nights

From: Sandy Ives <rives@home.com>

I have heard from several people of difficulties growing this Kasperek
introduction. It is a TB with variagated foliage (green and cream).

This is its first year in Ottawa (via Superstition). It is increasing normally
for a TB for us (below average for Oregon, above average for Alaska).

The foliage is variagated all right, but not as dramatic as expected. This is
almost certainly due to its first year size; in a third year clump I would
expect the effect to be much more noticeable.

It has thrown a spike up, possibly 85cm (34"). The spike is variagated right to
the terminal bud and the variagation is much more noticable than that on the
fans. It should bloom this week.

I have several photos which will be posted later this week on iris-photo.

Regards,

Sandy Ives in Ottawa (z4ish, who will be sending a donation to the Kasperek
photo lessons fund later this year)
