I too have a mystery to clear up. What was labeled as GYPSY CARAVAN is
obviously an older, more tailored iris; no ruffles, and a neat gold rim
on the red-brown falls, which are a flared, not long and narrow like the
real old ones, so I think it must be in the 50s of 60s someplace. The
standards are a bright gold, not in any way murky. The buds are
greenish-yellow on the bottom and almost black on top. The insides of
the iris are bright gold like the standards, no other color. Any ideas
would be appreciated! I know there are probably *hundreds* it could
