everyone-
if you want to use a plant marker and I dont care what you think is good for
marking systems but I have NEVER been able to out do this one for being
inexpencive and homemade.
1. regular white plastic vinyal window blinds
2. cut to one foot
3. take a No.2 pencil only and write on it
4. stick in soil near plant.
5. wait 5 years and go out and still read the blind strip.
I have strips in my back yard nearly 6 years old still ledgeable.
(only minor problem - after 3 years heat and cold the blind frosts powders a
bit and the blinds have become brittle ) but to replace them is a snap just
make a new one.
learned this marking system years ago from the big fellow who mark the feilds
with bulbs.
also-- go to a kmart or HQ or a home depot they throw out the one that cant
be cut correctly or the one that were messed up in the cutting prossess.
I know , I see it every day, they give them away for asking, or will sell
them for a dollar. And for 60 strips at 1` foot each you have 120n feet of
markers.
