Mike, my aunt makes markers out of old mini blinds, too. But, she
straightens out old coat hangers, cuts them in half and bends an s-shape on
one end. She punches two holes in the mini blind section and threads it on.
You do have to turn your head sideways to read the name, but it is cheap and
these markers never heave. She just uses a labeler that you would find tape
for at Wal Mart (but here label maker is from an office supply house; much
better quality) ...these labels never come off and the color lasts about
three years before fading...
