HYB: bee pods?

From: Linda Mann <lmann@icx.net>

Anybody onlist who's had experience growing "bee" pod seeds to blooming
size? Does anybody ever get quality flowers from "bee" seeds?

Only one of my intentional crosses took this year, but I have quite a
few "bee" pods (many more than usual). I usually plant the seeds, just
for fun. Survivors usually are pretty tough, but nothing to write home
about so far. The best is a shorter stalked (less likely to be beaten
down by the rain), slightly later blooming CHERRY SMOKE lookalike.

Anybody know if "bee" pods are usually selfs?

I put bee in "", because around here, the pollinator seems to be little
1/2 inch long or smaller waspish things. Close enough to a bee I guess.
