Sure Dennis, I have been photographing my babies as they bloom. Too bad I
don't have digital camera or I would already be showing them off. Today
DANCE BALLERINA DANCE, WINDWOOD SPRING, and CHILLED WINE started blooming.
DBD is just a sweet confection, another very distinct iris and a wonderful
grower. If all you are growing is violet Sibs, get this one. It will steal
your heart. WS is finally blooming after just simply growing and growing the
last couple years. It is big, quite blue, and has a white blaze and looks
crisp and delightful in the garden right now. CHILLED WINE is just a neon
blaze of color. Bright and bold red violet with an eye popping bright blue
wash on the falls. Another classic from the late Ben Hager. I was just
commenting to Roger Duncan that the first bearded iris that I EVER grew (and
still do) was by Ben (Vanity). The first Sib I ever grew was CHILLED WINE
and I will always grow it. Ben did add so much beauty to all our worlds...
