Re: SPEC: rare seeds


Hello Dennis,
By this description the second specie is Iris bloudowii Ledeb. rather than
Iris humilis Georgi (=Iris flavissima Pallas). Both are from Altai, but Iris
bloudowii came from mountains (as Belukha is), have 10-30 cm high, leaves
6-18 mm wide and a capsule better described as triangular. Iris humilis
prefers scree, but have 10-15 cm high and leaves 3-7 mm wide. There is other
clear differences between these two species.
