Patricia, Neil, and others.  I suspect much of the problem lies in editing 
rather than knowledge.  Many people dash off notes and messages on here and 
then forget to "proofread" or edit their copy.  Many people know the 
difference, BUT, feeling they are among friends, respond without even running 
the error prone spellchecker.  I know I do.  

I work in a professional setting and you wouldn't believe the grammatical 
errors I see.

I'm coming in on the tail end of this discussion since I didn't receive the 
original posting about Spelling Errors.

Betty in BG KY who didn't get a chance to photograph rebloomers before the 
storm and then the freeze, but may get a second chance since the stalks 
weren't melted--only open blooms.
