REB: Freezing temps/Seedlings

Late last summer, a new neighbor moved in and cut down all the trees on one 
side of my house.  They were in her yard.  This summer, I hated the glare 
coming in the windows and didn't like the increased AC bill one bit.  
However, my seedling bed is on that side of the house.  Bloom was terrific 
this past spring.

The really great part is, I still have seedlings in bloom, even though we've 
had several light freezes.  The temperature bounced around 26-27 degrees for 
three or four nights.  It ruined blooms but no stalks melted.  

I've had seedlings rebloom OR try to rebloom, that hadn't before.  It's a 
combination of the trees being gone and the great rainfall I've had this 
year.  More moderate temperatures help also. IMHO.  There's no telling what 
will bloom if a hard freeze holds off for a few weeks.  

I have this pale lavender seedling from LACED COTTON X FEEDBACK.  I've always 
liked it, but there didn't seem to be anything special, or different, about 
it.  I meant to trash most of it this fall, the same as the purple/reddish 
one, but somehow I didn't get "a round toit." Just found a multiple stalk 
rising from the front clump!  It will never bloom before the next freeze, but 
it gives me a good excuse to keep it around.  Three big clumps.

I sent 9412-1 to California (Suttons) to see if it would rebloom out there.  
This fall it has sent up stalks here in good OLE KY.  This is ((Laced Cotton 
x Autumn Encore) X Renown).  This is the white one with the vanishing rim.  

The red one added another stalk.  Now, if my pretty pink one (Presence X Pink 
Attraction) would rebloom!  

Such fun.
