'Y'all is singular, all y'all is plural *:). 'I tell you what' is a complete sentence, even if you have no idea what 'what' is! If something is incorrect the observation on the "wrong" thing is 'that dog won't hunt'. I'm a second generation Californian transplanted to Texas by Uncle Sam. (Deepest, darkest WEST Texas from Germany) It has taken me awhile to figure out the language, but I'm much better at it now than I was when we were first sent here! Wonderful people, awful weather.

Had to laugh at myself TODAY. I sent off a message concerning a "speedy" hose, or at least that is what it was supposed to say. When I pulled the e-mail up some time later, I found my message actually was about a "SEEDY" hose. Not quite the same thing! Since seedy is a word the speelchecker sped right past. I thought of yall. Or is that y'all? Darned if I know. But, I can still spell iris!
