Re: HIST: pbf on DARK CHOCOLATE?

Thanks Jeff,

I acquired two rhizomes from different suppliers this summer. One has pbf
showing quite distinctly, the other has shown no hint of pbf at all. I'm
watching to see if any develops. With the fall growth and cool nights we've
been having, pbf is reappearing on those plants that lose that
characteristic during the hot summer months. Obviously I'm thinking these
plants are not the same plant at this point. I guess, though, the pbf could
still put in an appearance at some point. The rhizomes came from different
parts of the U.S., so the conditions they were growing under may be a factor
in it showing now. However, both have been growing here for several months
now and still have different appearances. Perhaps I'll pose the difference
to the separate suppliers if it doesn't develop on the one. Possibly they
would be interested.
