I have been a lurker for a long time and have learned so much. Anyway
I finally have something worth posting. I have re-bloom on 2
varieties. Dark Crystal and Duke of Earl. Both were planted in the
fall of 2000. They are in a semi-protected bed and I water with a
soaker hose in our hot, dry and windy summers. I live in Southwest
Oklahoma where gophers and grasshoppers plus the drought are very
real challanges. My re-bloom bed is on the south side of a building
and has some summer shade from a nearby Catalpa tree. I lightly mulch
with cotton-seed hull. Keeping the mulch off the rhizome but close to
the root spread. It is a thrill to have my first re-bloom ever!
Zone 7 I think.
