Claire,
     I have sent a message to Joyce to see what she says.  CORN HARVEST and 
BELVI QUEEN I tried in the ground, and they dwindled.  BUCKWHEAT did too, but 
is marvelous grown in pots.  There is something about the soil they don't 
like.  Even most Daylilies do better for me if grown in pots, but those are 
filled with sand and peat, sunk back into the sand, while the Irises are 
grown in a high quality potting mix I get at Dinkins Store in Dunnellon.  
      It looks like I may end up adding yet more Irises...   They are doing 
better than much of what is *supposed* to grow here...
