That also protects you too. When a computer gets infected, it can send
the virus to many other people before the owner is aware of what happened.
One time, I got a "mild" virus, but got rid of it. Some viruses will destroy
a computer.
For the last several days, I have had suspicious mail with the
attachement icon showing, and the mail was from unfamiliar Italian and
Chinese addresses, so I deleted unopened. I am sure it was "infected" mail.
