Laetitia,
This rating was based on the number and vigor of the increases and didn't take into account the amount or quality of bloom. Only four of these failed to bloom the first season after planting or replanting. Those were: Bay City, Hollywood Nights, Peach Royal, and Sunray Reflection. Bay City is always stingy with stalks, but those it does have are super. I have had Peach Royal for three years and have yet to see it bloom. It gets one more chance. If it doesn't bloom next spring, it leaves.

Francelle:
That is interesting. What factors went into your rating? Would it
be based upon a few things like: individual vigor, number of
increase, amount of bloom, or is there one factor which outweighed
others? If a plant gave lots of increase and was vigorous, but no
blooms, would it get a very bad rating never the less?
Do you find that if you replaced a cultivar that did poorly, it would
do poorly again, or might a second try yield a more vigorous plant?
Thanks,
Laetitia
