Well whaddaya know! That old pollen forgotten in the refrigerator since May, sitting in a trout lure box in a ziplock bag, seems to have been lively enough to "knock up" my wild flounced plicata seedling. Double Dribble did the trick, it was the best (synergistically speaking) pollen available. I've also tried crosses both ways with Double Vision (blooming now); too soon to judge "takes".
Cast of Characters (new to my garden) didn't bloom this spring, but has three tall stalks on the way. Same for Perfect Couple with one stalk coming. Wearing Rubies (received from Australia in February) has a nice stalk coming. The usual 8 - 10 stalks active on Stingray, a few on Best Bet, Floorshow, and Mabel Andrews, and one each from Eggnog and Busy Butterfly.
