Thanks, John,
My best rebloomer has been Reincarnation, which has also proved
fertile both ways. (No bloom yet from the seedlings.)
Anxious has always been the first to bloom for me, and is currently
blooming on a stalk finally brought in after weeks of no color on the
stalk. I had little hope for bloom, but it's just lovely.
My only attempts at fall crosses has been to save the pollen in a
baggie and store in the freezer to use next spring.

commercial on "The West Wing". I always have some fall and winter
rebloom, some years better than others. One year Rock Star went
crazy and had multiple stalks all winter. As often as not, it
doesn't rebloom at all. Stingray almost constantly has stalks at one
stage or another. Reincarnation, Eggnog, Mabel Andrews, Floorshow,
and Plum Wine are dependable rebloomers. Best Bet is consistent if
it hasn't bloomed out (or nearly so). This is the first year I have
ever made fall crosses; I am picky about my iris and most of those
listed above are just not worthy of being included in my breeding
lines. Reincarnation is an exception, but not a first choice for
most crosses. This is the first time two iris with certain exciting
characteristics and some level of synergy have bloomed at the same
time in the fall. Also, that one wild SA plicata seedling seems to
prefer fall bloom during its brief life so far; I wanted to catch its
genes any time I could.

the address at her Iris Haven website kept kicking the e-mail back.
Anyone know if her e-mail address has changed?
