We successfully selfed 'Clara Ellen' last year (2001 season) and now have approximately 40 seedlings in the back plot.
Any suggestions on making sure they survive the winter? We get plenty of snow cover, but I'm wondering whether mulch (or any specific micronutrients) is necessary.
The siberians in the same bed seem to have put on much more weight in the same time frame.
Regards,
Sandy Ives in Ottawa (who is off to another siberian-species convention meeting this weekend)
