And for all . . . I have VIOLET TURNER in my bay window with the terminal
bloom open! Great! I want to thank all the people that discussed this
cultivar back in the spring/summer. I ordered 2 rhizomes from Lauer and
placed them in pots. One sprouted a stalk. The stalk was about 8 inches
tall at Halloween and I brought it in for two nights. Since then, I've
brought it in when frost threatened. Last night I brought it inside & the
bloom opened this morning. Would you say I've had a cool fall? I was lucky
to have a couple of days this past week to rake & bag leaves. Small yard but
big trees!
