Neil,

If I understood John's earlier message correctly, you can read the 
messages in the archive without being a member of the list, but then you 
can't post to the list.  If you are a member of the list, messages will 
automatically be sent to the email address under which you registered 
with the list.  Hort Net apparently doesn't offer a "no-mail" option 
comparable to that which was available at Yahoo.

At least, that's what I *think* is the new policy.
