I've asked questions about inheritance of the tendency to produce
stunted stalks in my growing conditions (i.e., stressed irises sometimes
produce much shorter stalks than registered).
This time, I'm asking about heredity of stalk heights under <normal>
growing conditions (assuming registered height is with <normal> growing
conditions):
===Do naturally short parents only produce short-stalked children?
===Do naturally tall parents only produce tall children?
===Do crosses between short and tall parents produce some short & some
tall or mostly average? My few data indicate the former...wondering if
that's typical. Amphidiploid grouping of height chromosomes?
