Linda, I can't give you percentages. I just haven't kept that kind of
records. (And I can't find them anyway!!) It is a strong rebloom parent. Most of
my crosses have been with other things that rebloom. When crossed with pollen
from VIOLET MIRACLE I got one of my most prolific rebloomers. I've named it
STAR GATE. I'm anxious to see how it (and everything else) grows and does
here. But, I can tell you it gave several very pretty seedlings from that cross
that didn't rebloom and were left behind!
I used FEEDBACK pollen on a reblooming red seedling and got one of my
favorite seedlings, TARA'S CHOICE. It's also on both sides of THEME MASTER. (pollen)
While at Alvaton, I used FEEDBACK with anything that stood still . . .
SILVERADO, BLACKOUT, TITAN'S GLORY. None of these produced rebloom, but that's not
to say that BLACKOUT or TG wouldn't have with another batch. The TG seedlings
were VERY nice and have been used extensively, but with little rebloom
results so far. Still I keep hoping that some of the grandchildren will do me
proud. Have one with great pbf that I'm dying to see bloom! (got some blue beards
going here too)
I have it and, if the notion strikes, I will probably use it again. It
passes on fairly decent form and there's red down in the throat of the beard! BUT
. . . I will use it as the pollen parent as it also tends to pass on short
stalks. Or so it seems to me. And it makes loads of pollen.
Oh, dear! I'm having visions! I see dark irises, all over my beds and a
dozen stalks of FEEDBACK dripping with pollen. There's MIDNIGHT OIL, HELLO
DARKNESS, BYE BYE BLACKBIRD, LOCAL COLOR, VIOLET TURNER. Oh! I can't look anymore!
It looks like work . . .
Not very scientific, but I thought it might help. LOL!
