RE: HYB: yellow and red beard

Griff,

Schreiner's CHAMPAGNE WALTZ comes close to a "strong yellow with red beard."
It is officially described as S. apricot-yellow, F. white with apricot-yellow
border, tangerine beard. The beard falls short of "red" but the flower color
comes across as yellow here. There is a pinkish influence in the low center
and base of the standards, but that is not obvious until one is examining the
flower closely. I am sure there are others that come closer to your
description than this one, but its name came to mind in response to your
question.
