I didn't have any place to dig a trench for the past 5 years and I was going
to dig a trench in my friends garden when I decided to buy land again and will
now do it here. I've had a few seed rot in the last 2 or 3 years, rarely
before that time. We have a lot of cloudy dreary days here which might be a
factor. And I had pine trees that shaded them a LOT.
I think the trick is to keep the seed damp but not soggy. Someone else on
the list has mentioned using a trench. I want to say it was Paul Black when he
came on for a little while back about 2 years ago. But I'm not sure.
