Hi Betty,
I think the iris you are refering to with the buys
hafts is Notorious. Another one is Zandria by Nebeker.
Personally, Notorious never grew very well for me but
Zandria in my opinion has better color, better form
and grows far better.
I personally like these type of markings because I
think they add quite a bit of interest to the flower.
I used Zandria a number of times in some of my crosses
with the tetraploid medians. Some of the resulting
seedlings were interesting but in some of them the
starburst pattern translated into heavy haft markings
to me. I will post pics of Notorious and Zandria so
everyone can see what they look like.
