Re: Re: AIS: AIS/TBIS

Actually, I don't really agree with you on ending this specific thread. I think a few good ideas or thoughts came out of it, at least for me. And even the ones I didn't agree with I found interesting and thoughtful. It just seems kind of hokey to make your own statement about the topic and then add at the end that its the last you want to hear about it!

Working with other local iris societies from different regions to do joint ventures is one of my favorite topics and learning about potential conflicts was useful. I especially liked the comments with some step by step suggestions of how to negotiate a good working relationship especially where there may easily be a conflict of interest or competition for a scarce resource.

These would include holding a joint iris show when there is a geographic closeness, as well as JT's and presentations. But would you ever hold a joint iris sale? That one seems impossible on the face but I know that at one location, we always run out of rhizomes for sale so just maybe there is an opportunity there...

At this point, however, I would
like to plead with the Iris-talk folks in general to let this thread or series
of threads rest. There are a lot of things we can be talking about besides
this issue. May we move on? Please?
