Having formerly been a hobby beekeeper I know a little about this subject.
The mite is here to stay. There is also a little beatle that loves to go after
the wood in hives. Being more familiar with Varoa mites some biological and
mechanical controls are being developed with some success. You will probably
never see the wild bee populations again that we once had.
