That was a badly worded post.  I clipped the wrong part of Neil's message
and didn't realize what I'd done.  The seeds that were given to me are I.
missouriensis seeds.  I have spurias growing, but they are all purchased
varieties.  They seem to set seed readily, but I've never tried planting any
of them.  Usually the grasshoppers eat them before maturity.  The spurias as
plants handle my hot, dry heat very well.  They go dormant and return in the
fall.  The bloom time is a bit too late and they often suffer from excessive
heat and excessive bug problems on the blooms.  But not always.
