I got a new catalog in the mail yesterday, from Bits and Pieces, who sell a
broad variety of puzzles; jigsaw, puzz 3d, tavern puzzles, wooden puzzles,
etc. (They're on line at the obvious website addy).
One of the profered jigsaw puzzels is cut in the shape of a fairy, (no
straight edges and four corners), and depicts various critters and peoples
of the more magical sorts in what is supposed to be a magical forest. Along
the bottom of the puzzle there is a bit of a flower garden; there's a
mushroom, some daisy type things, something big roughly the shape of a
daylily, butterflys, grasses, etc. Standing tall, and depicted on a larger
scale than the rest are several iris blooms, hovering sans foliage, in a
wide array of colors. I like the one that has two beards on one fall <g>.
(sadly they are obviously TB)
too bad we can't exploit those kinds of appearances to stimulate more
interest in iris....
