Barbara, thank you for that information. I had noted the sprouts from wounded
roots and thought to myself I might wound a few just to propegate the lovely
things. I will wager the root mass from the CM is *exactly* what is awry with
the Swingtown sets. Unfortunately, I have planted several other high-value
things in the same area, now or soon to be "solid mats" of roots from the
vigorous, healthy CM there. Oy weh! Now where can I move them?
I need to find myself a field like Betty W. showed on Iris-photos in her new
place in KY. I can't escape Maple, Oak and Crepe Myrtle roots--and
shade--here. What I wouldn't give for some *open* land!
