Both BRIDGE IN TIME & RETURNING CHAMELEON would indicate this is true. BIT
is (GLISTENING ICICLE & IMMORTALITY) and RC is (PINK SLEIGH & IMMORTALITY).
GI & PS are both sporadic and/or coastal rebloomers at best. It looks like PS
may be a carrier. Several of it's descendants have rebloomed. Boomerang,
Twice Told and Symmetry all have been reported to rebloom.
I won't say you CAN'T get a rebloomer from a oncer and a rebloomer. It's
just not happened to me. I've not grown or crossed ALL irises! <bg>
I thought PRESENCE was a carrier because there are so many related cultivars
that do throw some sporadic rebloom. However, when I used it with PINK
ATTRACTION it produced two keepers but NO rebloomers! Maybe the children?

This is what my observations indicate. I don't know of any studies one way
or the other . . . just garden observations. Much has been said about
SILVERADO (most by me) in the indication that it's even ANTI-rebloom! IMMORTALITY
seemed to be A magic bullet (above) but it didn't work on SILVERADO. (for me)
Crosses to this seedling with non-reblooming children from reblooming parents
didn't create rebloom either. BUT then I used pollen from STAR GATE (on
website) and have had 5 or 6 put up stalks this fall. Maiden bloom even indicates
one blued bearded white.
Both 1701 and 1702 contain SILVERADO, and both have sent up stalks this fall
as 'first' bloom. My experiences do indicate that a maiden bloom in the fall
indicates rebloom later on.
