Fred, I was never fortunate enough to meet Ben in person, but I would have 
relished the opportunity. I've heard so many good stories.  He was a willing 
mentor to many! It's good to know that Ben was open to change!  

Our correspondence was about the time he and Sid quit selling to the public.  
For the last several years, I've thought I was interpreting his statement out 
of context since it didn't fit with what I'd observed with my limited 
experience. 

He was enthusiastic about the future of rebloomers.  He had a vision of 
rebloomers for all gardens in all/most zones.  I'm not sure his time line will be 
realized, but we are getting there.
