Rita, I don't think this convention question is a good thing to do if people
think it is going to be a poor one. This has never been bandied about on
email before and there are many peo;le who plan to attend, but don't waste
their
efforts on email intentions plus there are MANY that don't "DO" email, some
who even have computers don't bother with it and eventually the constant
subject, like where the BULLETIN is (and I still don't have mine) can be
boring. SO
take heart and don't worry about lack of attnedance - I'm sure it will be
wonderful and overflowing with people! I have been to St. Louis many times
for
conventions - medical with my husband when my mother could "babysit" my
children, before I "did" irises! And there are so many wonderful things to
see and
do in St. Louis -- the Zoo! The Jewel Box! That Park! And is the mark still
on the 2nd floor of some building where the flood crested back in the ?'30s
??
I can hardly wait to renew my memories, especially of the iris ones -- one
time we had a ride and dinner on the river boat! Good Luck, Rosalie nr
Baltimore where we're being blown to pieces and much too cold for now - but
at least
no snow!! Do you still haveyours?
Rosalie dear, Char is the proverbial "twit" who doesn't know how and when to
open her mouth! That is why I answered with a positive statement rather than
tell her she is an idiot!!!! I do know this first hand, having worked with
her on several other AIS projects.
We are so looking forward to you coming to St. Louis! Do you have someone to
travel with? If not, I'll bet we can arrange for someone to come with you!
If you want to stay after the convention, the Gormley B&B and Visitor service
is open for YOU!
Right now, we are at our vet daughter's house in FL-cooked Thanksgiving
dinner, Tom helped put the hardwood floors in her new house and the weather has
been great! Back to MO tomorrow where it is much colder but Kevin has been
taking care of the cats!
Best regards, Rita
