Re: Love to Lloyd

I was at the Dallas convention and got to speak with Lloyd briefly in the
hotel restaurant.  He was sitting with Pete DeSantis at a table not to far
from mine. I knew Pete, and went over to say hello, and he introduced Lloyd to
me.

Coincidentally, I had made the cross of Immortality X Scoonchee that spring.
I told them that and Lloyd suggested if I get anything out of it, it would
probably be best to cross the child back to Immortality.

Since then I had moved and had irises in and out of pots so much, and they
were abused horribly, being dry for too long of times as I had forgotten to
water them, etc., that they never got to bloom size.  Now they are in the
seedling bed and growing well, and they just may bloom this spring for the
first time.  I hope so at least.
