My mantis are green when young and brown when grown. I've imported them in
the past, but both ladybugs and mantis were established here when I arrived.
I didn't expect them to make eggs casings down in the iris clumps!
The first fall I had ladybugs in my bathroom. The first spring I saw aphids
but they totally disappeared before I could get concerned. And, as stated
in another post, I feel sure my mantis took care of the hoppers. I've seen a
lot of casings.
I spotted a green worm with yellow stripes in the iris beds this week. Since
I don't know if it's predator or helper, I'd hoped to find it on the above
site, but no luck.
