RE; OT Fertilizing

I have been most successful fertilizing twice a year [TBs
and Siberians]. I use a fertilizer formualted for growing
tomatoes which is part organic but has a generous number of
micronutrients and is relatively low in nitrogen. It is
applied as new growth starts in the Spring and again after
bloom. I just scatter it across the beds as there are just
too many plants to try to miss the rhizomes!

This has worked particularly well for rejuvinating old
clumps. Some of these clumps are over 10 years old and
responed like a new planting by thinning and then
fertilizing. So much easier than digging and replanting and
there was also excellent bloom the next year.
