My first germinations from 2005 seed

I was just checking my 2005 seeds that have been in
damp paper towels in the fridge since Sept 30... I
wasn't expecting germinations this early... but I
guess it HAS been almost two months of stratification.

I had more than a dozen seeds with sprouts, from my
five strongly purple-based foliage (PBF) plicata
diploids ('Kupari' x 'Rosemarys Dream') pollinated by
the amoenas from ('Kupari' X suaveolens var.
rubromarginata)

As you might guess from my choice of parents (PBF and
rubromarginata), I'm hoping to intensify the
purple-foliage in this case.

Along similar lines, I had about 10 sprouts from the
best red-margined foliage ('Kupari' X suaveolens var.
rubromarginata) seedling, which happened to have
purple self flowers (not amoena),
pollinated by those PBF plicatas ('Kupari' X
"Rosemarys Dream'). This red-margined seed parent also
has partially purple seed pods.

I also had one germination from a few old seeds of
'Consummation' X (timofejewii X variegata), that I had
just started stratifying on Sept 30.
