HYB:Pod parent
I've been told not to use a first year plant as the pod parent. Setting and
maturing a pod is reported to be bad on the health of such a plant and can
cause it to fail.
On the other hand, I read that some hybridizers make most of their crosses
on their own seedlings. Most of these seedlings are 1st year plants??
Anyone have thoughts on this?
