right growing conditions (i.e., California <g>).>>

My opinion based on extensive research. We still have the class that's been
dubbed "carrier." My honest opinion is this . . . if everyone in the
temperate zones reported ALL rebloom to a central collective agent (Recorder) we
would find that most of these "carriers" have rebloomed somewhere. I know of no
way to either prove or disprove this theory, so a theory it shall remain.

<<So far, I haven't gotten any rebloomer (daylength independent or not)
seedlings from two non-reblooming parents, no everbloomers unless at
least one parent is an everbloomer. Haven't attempted any everbloom X
everbloom crosses yet. All TBs.>>

In the early years, I tried to use Immortality, Feed Back & Sugar
Blues in as many crosses as possible. At that time, I found little
indication that Violet Miracle was in that class or could throw that class. Just
this summer, VM bloomed on three stalks in July. I have a large planting, but
stalks are stalks. It speaks to potential.

When dealing with rebloomers, you often have to make crosses based on
parentage or just blind faith! Blind faith based on research, of course! That is,
if you're not a geneticist. Sometimes I think I have more fun this way!

Blind faith at work--Sincerely Yours is a well branched iris of good stature
that I really like. (It has pbf, too) The parents are (Bridge In Time X
(Feed Back x Titan's Glory). BIT is (Glistening Icicle x Immortality) I waited
for years to see if SY would rebloom, but no luck. I even remade the cross,
but still no luck.

In 2004 I crossed SY by Star Gate. (Feed Back x Violet Miracle) The cross
had low germination but the fall of 2005 I had the first fall stalk on one of
the seedlings. This spring that seedling set a pod (36 seed) with the pollen
from Decadence. I have FAITH that this cross will germinate and produce
something nice! If not, I still had fun speculating!

More blind faith---this year. One goal I've had since the beginning is to
produce a good quality near white with purple or blue beards in rebloom. Two
tall well branched seedlings. 1804-G2-1 X 1803-G2-1 (Immortality on both
sides and also includes Feed Back & Violet Miracle)

1) The pod parent is a second year sibling to about a dozen rebloomers and
one lovely pale blue with lavender beards=1804=1502-2(((Silverado x
Immortality) x(Bridge In Time x (Feedback x Titan's Glory)))(sib to SY) X Star Gate.

The pod parent is a second year sibling to a couple of rebloomers. This
cross was intended to produced pale blue to white with blue beards but did not.
1803=1004-5Re:((Immortality x Pledge Allegiance) x (Immortality x  Beau Zam))
X Codicil.

G2 is second year germination.
