Welcome to the Iris List! Your enthusiasm should give
it a shot in the arm (pour encourager les autres). The
address of Marianne Joosten's site in your email did
not come through on my screen, so I looked it up and
have typed in in below in case others missed it too -
it seems well worth visiting!

I particularly like the aerial view of the iris maze
(or whatever it is - perhaps the first iris that can
be seen from outer space?). Also was intrigued by the
"Exclusief Culinair Hemerocallis Diner" - probably not
something anyoune would want to try with Irises.

Although Dutch is suppposed to be the language most
closely related to English linguistically, and i also
have some competence in modern standard German, to
which it is obviously quite similar, I seem to have
considerable difficulty in making out is meaning.
Perhaps it is the idiosyncracies of the orthography
with which I am not familiar.
