RE: HYB: Is 3D branching OK?

As for your photos, one thing you can do, though it is hard with the
point and shoot cameras, digital or otherwise, is to increase the
f-stop. This will increase the depth field of the photo, which does mean
that more will be in focus. There are pluses and minuses to this
approach, and a camera that can be set to manual mode or for aperture
priority will help an awful lot.

Mary,

Last fall, maybe the year before, I posted a picture of a 3-D stalk of
Total Recall. I like the 3-D effect too, with the same complaint about
photos.

I think I remember reading somewhere that a 3-D stalk is, however, a
fault. But, I'm sure there are plenty of popular garden iris that can't
do on the show bench... so there too!....as my granma used to say.

if 3 dimensional branching is considered a fault. Personally, I
kind of like it, but makes it hard to take a decent stalk photo.
Seems like one bloom is always much closer to the lens than
the rest, no matter what angle.
