REB: Indiana Rebloom Report

I'm convinced that if I live to be 100, 2004 will prove to be the best
year I will ever see.  And I hope that this year will prove to be the
worst I ever see.  Unseasonably warm weather in March, followed by
5 nights in a row at 17 degrees in mid-April, was partcularly disastrous
for reblooming varieties, which tend to bloom early and were at their
most vulnerable.  Then heat and drought set in at near record levels
which persisted until mid-October.  Drought was not quite so extreme
at a few gardens.

Despite conditions, a surprising (to me) number of names appear on
the list.  Many only bloomed sparsely, late, and with reduced height,
bud count and branching.  For the sake of brevity, the following symbols
are included:
