Here's what I said about it then: <I was astonished to see it put up a stalk. It has been hot and dry all summer. I think I did soak it once with the garden hose, but temps have been in the 90s for most of the summer. We had a little rain this weekend, but are still nearly 10 inches below annual average rainfall.>During the drought, humidity was very low, so night time lows were probably lower than "normal", & it's possible there were some nights in the upper 60sF 6 weeks before (i.e., July). Chuck, I'm too cheap to buy the daily weather data from our local station.

in Kansas & VA. Early for Linda in TN but I don't remember just when.
