Chris,

Some rebloomers will survive a few hard frosts, but I would not expect it to finish blooming this late in the year. The latest that I have had rebloom was Nov 11.

I would suggest that you cut the stalk as soon as the bud shows colour and have it bloom indoors.

My husband and I just returned from lunch and as we drove round the house I noticed a bloom stalk on an iris. I don't do rebloom. So far I've only ever had October rebloom once, at my previous location, and that was Total Recall.
Anyway, bed maps say it's a seedling, but it's a seedling whose identity has been lost. Further examination revealed two stalks, four buds, branch and spur on the taller stalk, one and half bud on the other stalk terminal.
Spathes seem a bit rubbery like old celery, but other than that seem same as usual spring bloom type stalks. We have of a certainty had a few frosts, even one I would call a hard frost, but this past weekend was very warm and sunny.
So, is it reasonable to expect them to finish blooming?

Christian
