Will bring the refrigerated pot back to the back porch so I can watch it.

Who knows? But I would be. If you can get somebody to add the thick
mulch you like to use, they should be ok?

I'd also worry about your refrigerated seed experiments trying to
germinate in the middle of winter. First warm day in January. My slow
to sprout refrigerated seeds are outdoors again, won't bring them back
indoors until December, unless they start coming up outdoors.
